Meet Princess Mollie Alise

Mollie Alise has been adopted. Happy Tail coming soon!
  • 5 year old
  • Female fawn pug
  • 18.6 lb
  • Fostered in Maryland

MOLLIE ALISE is an extremely sweet fawn girl who readily makes friends and is a true velcro pug. She adapts easily and loves everybody, including the cat. Very snuggly and gentle, she enjoys hugs and is figuring out kisses. MOLLIE ALISE has a great appetite and is learning to be adventurous with her food choices. Blueberries, carrots, and pumpkin are new to her, but she has decided she likes them very much!

MOLLIE ALISE is generally quiet and prefers couch napping or sun bathing to puggy battles, but her fur sisters CAN entice her into the zoomies from time-to-time, and she is hilarious when she gets going! There is definitely a playful streak in there! While she’s not at all pushy, she’s also not a pushover and will play tug-the-squirrel with fur sister Olive until they’re both worn out.

MOLLIE ALISE loves sitting on the top of the sofa, sinking into the back cushions until she’s almost invisible, but only if she can’t be on a lap or under the blankets in bed. She’ll also lower herself to the dog bed from time-to-time to snuggle with her foster sisters while her foster mom is in the kitchen.

MOLLIE ALISE has not been crated in her foster home. She is accident-free and will stand quietly by the door when she needs to go outside. MOLLIE ALISE hasn’t done much in the way of walks, but she does behave well on a harness/leash for trips to the vet.

MOLLIE ALISE had a bath a week or so ago, might have been her very first one, and while she was concerned, she was a trooper and stood perfectly for the entire process. She enjoyed being towel dried and got super silly when it was done! The vet tech told her foster mom she was “perfect” for getting her nails cut, too.

MOLLIE knows to “sit” for a treat, and we’re about halfway to learning to give a paw when asked. She is patient in the treat line and has never shown even the slightest bit of aggressive or guarding behavior, even when it’s peanut butter treats, her absolute favorite.

MOLLIE ALISE enjoys chewing on soft toys or a bit of antler. She isn’t the least bit destructive and has never chewed anything she shouldn’t. She’s also discriminating outside and does not mess with things she shouldn’t, like mulch, fungi, or bumblebees.

MOLLIE ALISE is wonderful with kids. She enjoys the attention of a dog-obsessed 5 year old and is very happy to be snuggled and petted and loves getting her tummy rubbed.

MOLLIE ALISE is just a bit shy with strangers, but warms quickly and will become very attached to her person. She really enjoys the company of her fur sisters and the cat. She would be happiest in a home with another small and preferably not super-dominant dog.

MOLLIE ALISE knows what “bedtime” means and is usually the second up the stairs. She slides easily under the covers, finds her spot, and shares the bed nicely. She sleeps through the night and wakes with kisses and snuggles in the morning.

MOLLIE ALISE will go to her furever home up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed, microchipped, and on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. MOLLIE ALISE is positive for Lyme, but is asymptomatic.
