Say Hello to Prince Poindexter Montgomery!
Poindexter — Dexter to his friends — is a petite, long-legged little black pug with a big personality and absolutely no interest in wasting time on unnecessary barking. He’s tiny, athletic, and always ready for his next adventure, and he’d happily turn your daily stroll into a full-blown expedition.
Dexter came into rescue with quite the résumé: he’s crate trained, good with all dogs, and an enthusiastic walking partner. But for all that youthful energy, he also has an off switch. Once the fun is over, he’s perfectly content to curl up nearby and nap while his person works. He doesn’t need to be the center of attention every second — he just wants to be part of your world.
He’s playful, loyal, eager to please, and has excellent taste in snacks — fruits and veggies are firmly on his list of favorite things. We’re still getting to know this handsome guy, and there’s clearly an adventurous side, a playful side, and a wonderfully devoted companion hiding in that lanky frame.
Dexter Loves:
- Long walks that turn into full-blown expeditions
- Playtime with other dogs
- Fruit and veggie snacks
- Napping nearby while you work
Dexter Is Looking For:
A home that will bring him along on adventures and make him part of everyday life — someone who can keep up with those long legs on a good walk and appreciates a devoted napping buddy once the day winds down.
Welcome to rescue, Dexter. We think your next chapter is going to be a good one. 🐾
