This distinguished little gentleman spent his entire life with one owner before finding his way to Appalachian Pug Rescue. When Spencer first arrived, his foster family quickly realized he had missed out on some of the simple joys most dogs take for granted.
Dog beds? Confusing.
Toys? Completely foreign.
But not for long.
The Spencer Charles Glow-Up
In less than a week, Spencer has already started discovering how wonderful life can be. This sweet boy has officially learned that toys are FUN, soft beds are for cozy naps, and affection is pretty amazing too.
Watching him figure things out has honestly been pure magic.
Young at Heart
Even though Spencer is technically a senior at 10.4 years old, you would never know it from his attitude. He’s happy, curious, playful, and acts much younger than his paperwork suggests.
His foster family says he has the energy and spirit of a dog half his age — just with a little more wisdom and a much cuter frosty face.

Spencer came to rescue with some veterinary records, including rabies paperwork and microchip information. He’ll be getting a full senior wellness check so we can help keep him healthy, comfortable, and thriving for years to come.
