Arlo Hayes is a fighter—there’s no other way to say it.
At just 2 years old, Arlo found himself in a life-threatening situation after swallowing a rubber toy that caused a complete intestinal blockage. He was rushed to emergency care, where he underwent immediate surgery to save his life.
Thanks to quick action and an incredible rescue effort across multiple organizations, Arlo made it through surgery and is now safely out of the hospital.
He’s currently settling into his foster home where he can finally rest, recover, and start feeling like a dog again.
Arlo has a healing journey ahead of him. Right now, his focus is on:
- Rest and recovery
- Careful monitoring
- Lots of gentle love and support
He’s not quite ready for adoption yet—but he’s getting there.
