Maddox Duke is a young fawn pug with a whole lot of heart and an impressive wardrobe to match. He came to Appalachian Pug Rescue as an owner surrender after his human passed away, and he spent some time with another family before making his way to APR.
By all accounts, Maddox is the sweetest boy. He’s clearly comfortable around people and has the kind of easy, affectionate nature that makes him a wonderful companion. There’s even reason to believe he may have been training to be a service dog, which speaks to his ability to bond closely with humans and handle new situations with grace.
Maddox is an intact male and will need to be fully vetted. He does have an old injury to his right rear Achilles, but there are no known long-term issues, and it doesn’t appear to slow him down.
As Maddox settles into foster care, we’ll continue to learn more about his daily routine, preferences, and ideal home. What’s already clear is that he’s a loving, people-oriented pug who has been through change and is ready for stability again.
If you’re looking for a sweet, devoted companion with a gentle soul and a soft spot for humans, Maddox Duke may be the perfect fit.
