Benito Matteo is a 6.5-year-old fawn pug mix weighing about 25 pounds — and yes, that adorable underbite is absolutely real.
Benito came to rescue when his previous owner fell on hard times and wanted the very best future for him. Despite the change, Benito has remained incredibly devoted to people. He is what we lovingly call a “velcro pug” — happiest when he’s close to his humans and included in whatever you’re doing.
He bonds deeply and thrives on companionship. If you’re looking for a loyal little shadow who wants to sit beside you, follow you from room to room, and soak up attention, Benito is your guy.
He also has a playful side and loves “preying” on stuffies, so expect some enthusiastic toy action mixed in with all that affection.
Benito is currently fostered in Pennsylvania and arrived without prior vetting or medical records so he’ll be on medical hold til we can get him checked out.
