Meet Princess Eleanor Mary

Eleanor Mary, senior pug abandoned for dead on a country road.

Update: Eleanor Mary has been diagnosed with insulinoma and moved to our hospice program. She will leave the rest of her life surrounded by love and comfort. If you would like to support our hospice pugs, please consider being an angel

  • Estimated to be 10-12 yrs old
  • Female brindle pug
  • 16 lb

Eleanor Mary
was dumped and left for dead in a deserted area but luckily found in early December by a good samaritan who watches for this!

The vet has determined she is HW negative. She entered rescue in heat so she will be spayed if her bloodwork comes back and allows anesthetization  She has very few teeth left so a soft food diet is required. She suffers from typical hearing and vision loss for a pug her age. Her ears are very dirty and some of her nails were grown into her pads.

Eleanor Mary needs a lot of TLC right now. She has not shown any interest in toys and she is underweight and has been neglected.  We suspect she may be a breeder dump.

Eleanor Mary does enjoy going on short walks. She is getting lots and lots of TLC in her foster home in Richmond, VA. She loves snuggling! Please keep this sweet girl in your thoughts as she settles in with APR.

We are NOT YET ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS, but stay tuned to our social media for pupdates!
