In the desolate area near the railroad tracks, Teddy’s story unfolds as a tale marked by neglect. He spent several days scavenging for food amid feathers, rocks, and grass before being rescued by a kind railroad worker. When found, his hind end muscles were barely functional and he was malnourished. Now, at APR, Teddy is on a journey toward recovery, but it’s not without its challenges.
Teddy’s resilience in the face of adversity is truly inspiring. As we address the neglect he endured, we discover various health issues – his coat and skin show signs of struggle, his weight is alarmingly low, and his teeth require attention. It’s evident that Teddy’s past was filled with neglect and pain. Nevertheless, we are committed to providing him with compassion and care.
We will secure a specialized wheelchair to restore his mobility and give him a new perspective on the world.
We welcome you to join Teddy on his path to recovery and hope. Your support, whether through monetary donations or items from our wishlist, can make a real difference in his life.
Together, we can change Teddy’s narrative from one of despair to one of triumph, showing him that he is not alone on his journey to healing. With your help, we can give Teddy the care, attention, and love he deserves and pave the way for a brighter future.
